Ask Me About
My Strategy
The questions men get asked. The answers women rarely get to give.
A curated anthology gathering real advice from women who have built something — strategy, risk, failure, authority, money, reinvention and legacy.
The premise
Women have been building, deciding and leading for a long time.
Ask Me About My Strategy is a pilot anthology being published through Unfiltered & Unbound — Kate Baxter’s platform for women navigating life and work on their own terms.
We are gathering women who have built something: senior leaders, founders, executives, directors, entrepreneurs and women who have made brave strategic choices in life, work or business.
This is not a polished PR exercise. It is a place for the real story behind the strategy: the decision that scared you, the moment everything shifted, the bet you made on yourself, and the lesson you wish another woman had handed you earlier.
The questions
Choose the ones that resonate.
There are no wrong answers — only the honest ones. Contributors can respond to selected questions in their own voice, with final approval before anything is published.
When did you decide you wanted more — not just to contribute, but to lead?
What have you outgrown — and how did you know it was time to move on?
What are you building now — and why does it matter to you?
Tell me about a bet you made on yourself. What was at stake — and how did you decide?
What is the hardest decision you’ve made when there was no clear right answer?
What is the failure or loss that changed you most — and what did it actually teach you?
What did you have to unlearn to get to where you are now?
When did you start taking your own value seriously — financially or otherwise?
Where do you still hold back — and why?
What does authority look like for you now — compared to earlier in your career?
What is the smartest strategic decision you’ve made — and how did you think it through?
What do most people get wrong about success in your industry?
Have you ever had to rebuild your identity? What did that actually look like day to day?
What would you tell the version of you from 10–15 years ago — knowing what you know now?
